The City of Yuma, in the southwest corner of Arizona, is home to more than 90,000 residents. Yuma is the county seat of Yuma County, which produces more than $2 billion in agricultural revenue annually. The Marine Corps Air Station and Yuma Proving Grounds are located here.

Yuma is Arizona’s warmest winter city and the sunniest spot in the nation, with 310 days of sun a year. The desert climate means, of course, low humidity. There’s little chance of rain or snow impacting your plans for golf, fishing, hunting, site seeing, hiking, or bicycling.

Yuma has a historic downtown where you can find shopping, great places to eat and drink, the Yuma Art Center and historic Yuma Theater, and a farmer’s market each Tuesday during the winter.

For those interested in higher education, Arizona Western College offers more than 100 degree and certificate programs, and partnerships with Northern Arizona University (which has a branch campus here), Arizona State University, and the University of Arizona.
